Construit
par l'American Locomotive Company en 1907 et affecté aux
lignes du Massif Central en 1909 (Ussel et Aurillac), c'est un
chasse-neige rotatif à vapeur. On distingue la
chaudière et le système à deux cylindres avec
distribution Walshaert. Monté sur deux bogies il fonctionnait
accompagné d'un tender.
US Alco snowplow for Massif Central lines from 1909 to 1960. The rotary shovel is driven by a specific two cylinders steam motor with Walshaert mechanism. He was allways coupled with a tender to feed the steam engine and pushed by one or two locomotives.
